Babe Zaharias Foundation

Established in 1969, the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Foundation was created to preserve and promote the legacy of Babe. It built the museum in 1976 and since then, has championed support for the woman athlete. Not only women golfers, but every woman’s sport was considered when recognition was appropriate.

Donations have been made over the years to organizations in Southeast Texas, such as the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, I Have Dream Program, Julie Rogers Gift of Life, Communities in Schools, Art Museum of SETX, Girls Haven, Young Audiences, Texas Energy Museum, Mental Health Association and many others.
