The Shorkey Center provides occupational, speech, physical and aquatic therapies to students with special needs. They also offer a day treatment school for students with autism, down syndrome, behavioral issues, education and other related disorders. Their Center provides parent and school training to assist in working with the education and rehabilitation of this special population. Their therapists also work within local school districts to provide services that districts cannot provide. They currently serve students in Orange, Hardin, Jasper, Newton and Jefferson counties. The Shorkey Center serves children ages 3 months to 21 years of age.
