A strong relationship between a community and its police officers improves safety and has a positive impact on its quality of life. The Citizens Police Academy Alumni is a nonprofit association open to graduates of the Citizens Police Academy. Their members participate in various police activities, most notably Cops and Kids. All community events sponsored by the Beaumont Police Department and its partner organizations create opportunities for positive interaction between police officers and citizens.
