Foundation Directory

As proud Funding Information Network Partners, the Southeast Texas Nonprofit Development Center & RC Miller Library are members of a national network of organizations that partner with Candid to provide database access and support to local nonprofits. This allows the Area Foundation to make the Foundation Directory Essential available to you to search for funding opportunities throughout the U.S. and internationally at no cost. Beginning March 2021, users can search remotely within a 24-hour period, every 30 days. This day pass allows Candid to continue providing remote access in a secure and automated way to people all over the world.

With an individual Foundation Directory Essential account, you will have access to the MyFDO features. You’ll be able to create dashboards, tag favorite grantmakers, save searches, and return to these each time you activate a new pass.  Or, take advantage of Foundation Directory’s robust download/email features; you can run searches on Foundation Directory Essential and then download or email yourself the prospect list for offline reviewing.

Foundation Directory Online Day Pass

Foundation Directory Essential is available for remote access throughout 2021 here. Once on the FDO site, you will be asked to create an account and sign up for a day pass. The day pass allows you to use the Foundation Directory Essential remotely in a 24-hour window. There is a clock at the top of the screen that will tell you how much time remains in the pass. After the 24 hours, the clock will show the next date on which you can activate a new pass (every 30 days).

Since you will be able to create an individual account in Foundation Directory Essential, you will have access to the MyFDO features that were not previously available. You’ll be able to create dashboards, tag favorite grantmakers, and save searches, and return to these each time you activate a new pass. The day pass allows Candid to continue providing remote access in a secure and automated way to people all over the world.

RC Miller Library

In partnership with the R.C. Miller Memorial Library, we offer a collection of library books on nonprofit management and Foundation Directory Online. Foundation Directory Online is an online database of more than 140,000+ funders. Nonprofits can search the Foundation Directory Online to identify foundations that match your mission and area of service. The book collection is available in the reference section at the R.C. Miller Memorial Library and Foundation Directory Online is available at the computer stations at the R.C. Miller Memorial Library.
